Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what DoDaily collects, why, who helps us run it, and what you can do about it. It covers the DoDaily app for iPhone and Android and this website.
Who we are
DoDaily is made by Szymon Stasiak, who is the controller of your personal data. Address: ul. Esej 19/55, 01-923 Warszawa, Poland. For anything about privacy, write to privacy@dodaily.ai.
What we collect
The app.
- An account id. It is a random id from the sign-in service. Your email stays in the sign-in service (Apple, Google or email sign-in) and is never stored with your tasks.
- Your tasks, habits, steps, categories, rules and progress, so they are saved and in sync on your devices.
- Photos you add to a task. They are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Storage), follow the task's privacy (your partner sees them only on tasks you share), are never sent to an AI, and are deleted with the task or your account.
- Usage statistics, only if you allow them (see below).
- Your subscription status and purchase history (which plan, when it renews). We never see your card details; the App Store or Google Play handles payment.
- Anything you send us yourself, for example a problem report or a feature request, with the app version. If you send a report about an AI result, it includes that message.
Help improve DoDaily: how it works
If you switch this on, the app sends usage statistics to PostHog in the EU: which screens are used, how many tasks are checked off, which features are used. Never the text of your tasks, never your email, and no screen recordings. It is off until you allow it. You can switch it off any time in Settings › Privacy.
On this website we count visits with PostHog, without cookies: nothing is stored on your device.
Let us learn from your tasks: what we see
This is off unless you switch it on. If you do, our team may look at a small number of selected tasks to improve how DoDaily understands and sorts what you type. Tasks can include personal information, so only switch it on if you are comfortable with that. You can switch it off any time in Settings › Privacy.
"Learns your way" is different: it remembers how you fix DoDaily's guesses only inside your own account, so it sorts things the way you do. Nobody at DoDaily looks at it.
Who helps us run DoDaily
These companies process data for us, only for the purpose listed, under a data processing agreement.
- PostHog (analytics). Usage statistics, only with your consent. Region: EU cloud. No session recordings.
- Google Firebase (sign-in, database, file storage, server functions). Stores your account, your tasks and their photos. Region: EU (europe-west1).
- OpenAI (sorting what you type or dictate). When you type or dictate a task, the text or recording goes through our server to OpenAI to be understood and sorted. It is not used to train OpenAI's models, under OpenAI's API terms.
- RevenueCat (subscriptions). Keeps track of your plan and renewals.
- Apple and Google (sign-in and payments). If you sign in with Apple or Google, or buy a subscription in the App Store or Google Play, they handle that under their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Why we are allowed to use it (legal bases)
- Consent: usage statistics and "Let us learn from your tasks". You can withdraw consent any time; it does not affect what happened before.
- Contract: running the app you signed up for: your account, your tasks, sync, sorting what you type, and your subscription.
- Legitimate interests: keeping DoDaily secure and stopping abuse, for example blocking bot sign-ups.
How long we keep it
- App data: until you delete your account. Delete it any time in Settings › Account › Delete account; this removes your tasks, habits, progress and account for good.
- Usage statistics: in PostHog, without your tasks or email, for as long as needed to improve the app.
- Purchase records: as long as the law requires us to keep them (for example for tax).
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data (access), also in a reusable format (portability);
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop using it, or object to how we use it.
In the app, Settings › Privacy › Request my data sends us the request. Or write to privacy@dodaily.ai. We answer within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl). You can also go to the authority where you live.
Notice at collection (US state laws)
If you live in a US state with a privacy law (for example California), we collect:
- Identifiers: a random account id; your email in the sign-in service.
- Content you create: your tasks, habits and steps.
- Internet activity: usage statistics, only with your consent.
- Commercial information: your subscription and purchases.
We use them for the purposes above and keep them for the periods above. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer things about you.
Children
DoDaily is for people aged 16 and older.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If the change matters, we tell you in the app or by email first.
